Region VII Director: Claude Rector
Rector has worked as the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)/Phlebotomy program director at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) since 2008.
In addition to his work at PCCUA, Rector has worked as a medical technologist in the DeWitt Hospital Laboratory and as a lab tech/x-ray tech in the Delta Memorial Hospital laboratory in Dumas. He also served as a research associate at Arkansas Children’s Hospital Research Institute in Little Rock and as a biology instructor at the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. He holds a B.S. degree in microbiology and an M.A. degree in microbiology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

The Regional Director is a member of the ASCLS Board of Directors. The Director provides leadership to the Region VII Council by and under the authority of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. The Region VII Director Chairs the Region VII Council Meetings and the Region VII Caucus Meeting during the ASCLS Annual Meeting and communicates with members of the Region VII Council as needed.
