Center, Dallas is seeking applicants for a full time, 12 month, faculty
position at the clinical instructor rank in the Medical Laboratory Sciences
Program. Duties will include management of the student laboratory, preparation
for student laboratory exercises, ordering of laboratory supplies and reagents,
assisting faculty members in instructing laboratory exercises, teaching related
courses to Medical Technology students, participation in departmental
activities, including student advisement, student recruitment, scholarship, and
clinical service. Applicants must have a bachelor�s degree (B.S.) in a
field/discipline related to medical laboratory sciences, minimum of 1 year
clinical laboratory experience, and national certification by NCA or ASCP.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications. in the Clinical Laboratory Science and Molecular Pathology Programs at the
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Qualified candidates must be
certified in clinical laboratory science and possess a graduate degree
(doctorate preferred). The candidate should have at least two years experience
in the clinical setting and can demonstrate teaching experience at the post
secondary level. Responsibilities include teaching clinical chemistry and
molecular diagnostic techniques, development of relevant preceptorship
materials, evaluation of policies and procedures within the program, evaluation
of curriculum and program effectiveness, and development of scholarly activities
